Caitlin became more deeply involved with She Climbs Mountains through the Girls Rise Up program in 2021 when she was matched with her little sister Nevaeh. Spending time with Nevaeh has become an important and meaningful part of Caitlin’s life. Since being matched, Caitlin has participated more fully in all that She Climbs Mountains offers including workshops, events, and ongoing community with both the Girls Rise Up and She Climbs Mountains programs.

Caitlin’s mom, Bev DeVos, passed away from colon cancer when Caitlin was 19 years old. To honor her mom’s legacy and support cancer patients and their families, Caitlin became involved in college as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society (ACS) and as an advocate with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN). She has held local to international leadership roles with the Society, including lead volunteer roles on the American Cancer Society National Campus Leadership Team and Global Relay For Life Leadership Team. Caitlin currently serves as the Vice Lead Ambassador volunteer for ACS CAN in Minnesota and is a member of the ACS Minnesota Associate Board of Ambassadors.

Caitlin works as the Director of Administration at Project Success, a youth development non-profit organization in Minneapolis that helps more than 15,000+ middle and high school students annually connect to their purpose and plan for their futures. Her work at Project Success since 2014 is fueled by her passion for building a brighter future by ensuring every young person has the people, space, conversations, and opportunities they need to reach their future goals and dreams.

Caitlin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014 with a B.S. in Community & Non-Profit Leadership and Sociology.
