Chelsea became a motherless daughter in the fall of 2014, when her mother passed unexpectedly from a heart attack. She welcomed her first child, Vander three weeks before the first anniversary of her mother’s death. Through navigating all of the big feelings of becoming a mother (without her own) and grieving her mother’s loss, she was blessed to connect with Christine through a Motherless Mother’s workshop hosted by She Climbs Mountains at Blooma. This connection has proven to be invaluable in helping her not only navigate her own grief, but connected her with an amazing, supportive community of women and many new friends. She Climbs Mountains has been a true blessing in the midst of a sad chapter in her life. She is honored and excited to serve on She Climbs Mountains Board and help give back to a group that has given her so much.
Chelsea graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire in 2006 and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management in 2014. Chelsea spends her week days working as a Senior Manager in an audit consulting role at Target working with Business Teams in Accounting and Finance through business process and technology changes. At home, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Ross and their son, Vander. The Marcott’s are excited to welcome another baby boy to their family this spring. When she and her husband aren’t busy chasing their toddler, they’re likely tending to their two dogs and two cats, affectionately referred to as the “Marcott Zoo”. She and her husband also enjoying making over their home with endless DIY projects and sampling all of the great craft beer the greater Minneapolis area has to offer, that is of course when they can actually find a babysitter.
