Courtney Carter is an attorney and mother of two. Courtney lost her mother LeeAnn in 2011, after a long battle with alcoholism. Courtney joined the Motherless Mothers Workshop at Blooma in 2014, and found it to be very healing. She began co-facilitating the workshop in April 2017. Before becoming an attorney, Courtney was an English and Theatre Arts teacher for 7th and 8th graders in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, through Teach For America. Currently, Courtney is in private practice in civil litigation for a law firm in Bloomington, Minnesota. She is the treasurer and chair of the finance committee of Northeast College Prep, a high-performing charter school in Minneapolis, and serves as secretary for the Board of Directors of She Climbs Mountains. Courtney lives with her husband and daughters in Minneapolis.
