Experiencing Peri-Menopause/Menopause Through the Lens of Mother Loss

Join the She Climbs Mountains community for an open discussion workshop regarding the experience of peri-menopause and menopause as a motherless daughter. Change of life and women's health enthusiast, Zanne Hollingshead, and SCM Founder, Christine Meyer, will co-facilitate a conversation exploring the intricacies and intersection of women's health, aging, cultural norms and expectations, and the limited mainstream knowledge and acknowledgment of peri-menopause and menopause.

Open to women who are anticipating or currently experiencing peri-menopause/menopause, this workshop aims to provide connection and community around an often feared and misunderstood time of life that profoundly impacts and shapes the women we will become.

“A Day For Daughters” Adult Mother Loss Pop-Up Workshop with Hope Edelman

Motherless Daughters Pop-Up Workshops: “A Day For Daughters” are one-day gatherings that introduce women to the philosophy and sisterhood of the motherless daughters community. We combine large-group learning sessions, small-group discussions, individual exercises, and story sharing to both explore the long-lasting effects of mother loss and learn from others who understand.

Led by Hope Edelman, MA, author of Motherless Daughters and Motherless Mothers, each workshop is custom designed according to the attendees' histories. Separate Early Loss and Adult Loss workshops address the specific needs of these different groups. The pop-ups are an excellent introduction to the more in-depth, three-day retreats!

Please note: Early Loss workshops are for women who were up to age 21 when their mothers died. Adult Loss workshops are for women who were 21 and older. Participants must be 18 or older at the time of workshop. Because our focus is on long-term bereavement rather than on grief support, we recommend that at least six months have passed since your loss.

$199 per person (lunch included)

Register for the Adult Mother Loss Pop-Up Workshop!

*A limited number of scholarships are being offered by Brighter Days Grief Center for this event. Please contact christine@sheclimbsmountains.org for further information.*
