Motherless Mothers Workshop with Courtney Carter & Chelsea Marcott

The Motherless Mothers Workshop serves mothers and mothers-to-be who have lost their own mothers due to death and have entered/are entering the sacred circle of motherhood without their mothers available for love, nurturing, and guidance.

Held on Monday nights from 7:00-9:00pm, this five-week workshop will provide guided discussion and exploration of the myriad of emotions and experiences that accompany motherless motherhood.  Each meeting will allow mothers to share their experiences, ask questions, nurture themselves and each other, and examine the loss of their mothers in a safe environment. Weekly exercises will be provided to attendees to be completed by the following week. Please join us as we share our stories and grow as a community of motherless mothers.

*For those who have previously attended this workshop, please note that this session will offer new curriculum/weekly discussion topics.*

Early Mother Loss Workshop with Christine Friberg & Clara Johnson

The Early Mother Loss Workshop is open to adult women who have experienced the death of their mothers before the age of 21. This workshop is designed to address the unique issues that often accompany the early loss of a daughter’s most essential caregiver and role model.

Held on Thursday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm, this five-week workshop will provide guided discussion and exploration of the distinct feelings and challenges that daughters who have lost their mothers at an early age frequently experience. Each meeting will allow daughters to share their stories and insights, nurture themselves and each other, and grieve the loss of their mothers in a safe environment. Weekly exercises will be provided to attendees to be completed by the following week. Please join us as we connect with other motherless daughters and continue our journey of healing together.

“A Day For Daughters” Adult Mother Loss Pop-Up Workshop with Hope Edelman

Motherless Daughters Pop-Up Workshops: “A Day For Daughters” are one-day gatherings that introduce women to the philosophy and sisterhood of the motherless daughters community. We combine large-group learning sessions, small-group discussions, individual exercises, and story sharing to both explore the long-lasting effects of mother loss and learn from others who understand.

Led by Hope Edelman, MA, author of Motherless Daughters and Motherless Mothers, each workshop is custom designed according to the attendees' histories. Separate Early Loss and Adult Loss workshops address the specific needs of these different groups. The pop-ups are an excellent introduction to the more in-depth, three-day retreats!

Please note: Early Loss workshops are for women who were up to age 21 when their mothers died. Adult Loss workshops are for women who were 21 and older. Participants must be 18 or older at the time of workshop. Because our focus is on long-term bereavement rather than on grief support, we recommend that at least six months have passed since your loss.

$199 per person (lunch included)
